Claíochaí Sweater – Navy Mix

100% Linen

New for this season in 100% linen, our Claíochaí design is based on the ancient dry-stone walls that crisscross the landscape; their unique shapes were the inspiration for painter Sean Scully’s stunning Walls of Aran exhibition. The pattern on this linen sweater was specially designed to portray the art of dry-stone wall building, which every islander learns from an early age. Finished with a comfortable round neck, the design echoes the random shapes and sizes of the stone walls, using an unusual range of stitches including plated moss, plated moss rib, plated caterpillar, plated brick, and embossed leaf stitch.

Natural Mix is a lovely blend of warm, sand-inspired tones that pair beautifully with denim, navy or white. Navy Mix blends a range of blues, from the colour of pale shallow waters to the beautiful tones of forget-me-not and borage petals. European Masters of Linen quality guarantees European linen of the highest standard and traceability from field to yarn.

Made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop. Available in Natural Mix, Navy Mix.

  1. Measure the front of the chest from underarm to underarm at the lowest point of the armhole seam.
  2. Measure the length from the highest point on the shoulder to the bottom of the rib.
  3. Measure the sleeve length from lowest point of the armhole to the bottom of the cuff.

This garment is made using Linen, a beautiful natural fabric with irregular characteristics making each garment unique. Some of the knit constructions make it susceptible to snagging  on sharp objects and jewellery. Care should be taken to avoid this. Hand wash in water no more than 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Lay on a flat surface to dry.

Shipping

All orders are shipped via DHL for EU orders and UPS for worldwide orders. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has left our factory. Although we will do everything we can to deliver as fast as possible, please allow a ten day shipping period due to our remote location on an offshore island.

All duties, fees and customs charges incurred on orders delivering outside of the EU are the responsibility of the customer and are not inclusive in the final price shown upon purchasing.

Returns

Our web store returns policy means that if you are not fully happy with the goods you have received, you can return them to us within 21 days of receipt, providing they are in original resalable condition. Once returned you will be entitled to receive an exchange or a refund, which will not include the cost of the original postage and packaging.

We are not able to refund or exchange items that appear to have been worn, washed, or are not in original condition. This does not affect and is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer.
