With recent fashions in men’s knitwear tending towards more fitted styles, a customer asked us to create a jacket that had a looser, more relaxed fit yet didn’t compromise on shape or detail. So we took the traditional men’s double-breasted blazer and used sophisticated knitwear techniques to adapt it to a more casual “one-and-a-half breasted” style. The result is the Inis Meáin Relaxed Jacket, which we’re sure you’ll love as much as we do!
For Autumn/Winter ’21, the Winter Relaxed Jacket is made from our warmly luxurious 80% Super Geelong merino wool and 20% cashmere blend. This ensures a soft feel with strength, while this new slightly oversized length and width creates a comfortable, easy fit.
Glory is in the detailing here, such as the notched lapels; the knitted-in pocket detailing on the fronts; and the fabric seams on the back and sleeves which decoratively recall the stitched style found in traditional tailoring. Features two beautifully-finished pockets at hip-level with a discrete third interior pocket at breast height, perfect for a phone or glasses. Closes with one interior and one exterior Buffalo horn button from specialists Bottonificio Padano. Crafted from a blend of Super Geelong merino wool and cashmere made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic and premium quality dyes.
Available in Longford, a beautiful grey/natural marl Donegal. Made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
