On the Island, Aran patterns were passed down through families with pride. Inis Meáin’s signature Patented Aran pattern has the distinction of being held in the collection of the National Museum of Ireland. Unique to Inis Meáin, the intricate composition of this fine cable knit pattern is reminiscent of the strong twists of the Island fishing ropes. Eminently versatile with a beautiful drape, this superbly soft shawl can be draped elegantly around the shoulders to refine any outfit, or can be ruched up as a generous scarf creating the perfect finishing touch to any winter coat or jacket. Crafted from super-soft Baby Alpaca and Silk, made to the highest environmental standards using only organic and premium quality dyes. Measures 47cm x 175cm.

Available in duck-egg Blue, warm Grey, soft Cream and Rust Marl - a beautifully intricate blend of autumnal leaf colours rolled into one. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.

Although we will do everything we can to deliver as fast as possible and usually within a few days, please allow up to a maximum 10 day shipping period due to our remote offshore island location where weather conditions can impact shipping your special package from the Aran Islands.

Extended Christmas Returns to the 16th of January for goods purchased since the 24th of November (overrides standard policy return times below). If we can help you with your seasonal gifting in any other way please let us know!

Our Online Shop Returns Policy means that if you are not fully happy with the goods you have received, you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt, providing they are in original resalable condition. Once returned you will be entitled to receive a refund, which will not include the cost of the original shipping.
