Cashmere Raftery Coat – Charcoal Fleck

30% Cashmere | 70% Merino Wool

We were inspired by the famed 19th century nomadic poet Raftery and his epic poem Seanchas na Sceiche in which he berates a bush for failing him in his search for shelter. His clothes were often remarked upon, particularly Cóta Raiftearaí, so in tribute, we designed a beautiful soft Donegal cashmere and merino full length coat. This iconic coat is a perfect combination of substance and sophistication, and a stand-out stylish choice for winter, giving infinite options to achieve a unique multilayered knit look. Finished with a row of smooth Buffalo horn buttons and a very subtle signature Aran motif on the back neck. Now crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes.

Available in Charcoal Fleck, a versatile dark grey elevated with warm orange and snowy white highlights. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.

  1. Measure the front of the chest from underarm to underarm at the lowest point of the armhole seam.
  2. Measure the length from the highest point on the shoulder to the bottom of the rib.
  3. Measure the sleeve length from lowest point of the armhole to the bottom of the cuff.

All orders are shipped via UPS. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has left our factory. Although we will do everything we can to deliver as fast as possible, please allow a ten day shipping period due to our remote location on an offshore island.

Orders to the EU
As we are based in the EU, our EU Euro prices include all relevant taxes. No additional customs charges will apply.

Orders to the US
Our Dollar prices include all landing tax and duty fees for orders to US addresses, therefore no additional customs charges should apply from the US government or couriers.

Orders to the UK
Following Brexit, VAT is no longer added to our prices for UK customers. However, shipments to the UK are now subject to UK VAT charges and import duties. Once your shipment arrives in the UK, the carrier will send you an email specifying the amount due prior to final delivery. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges. Any parcels that are refused due to customs charges, the customer takes full liability for all postal charges, return shipment costs, customs charges and handling fees. Please note that these additional taxes and duties charged by the UK government could be up to 35% of the value of the purchase.

Orders to all other countries outside of the EU, US and UK
Any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges, and cannot tell you what the cost would be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. It might be a good idea to contact your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting. Our Online Shop Returns Policy means that if you are not fully happy with the goods you have received, you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt, providing they are in original resalable condition.  Once returned you will be entitled to receive a refund, which will not include the cost of the original shipping.
