Our Claíochaí tunic is based on the ancient dry-stone walls that crisscross the landscape; their unique shapes were the inspiration for painter Sean Scully’s stunning Walls of Aran exhibition. The pattern on this linen tunic was specially designed to portray the art of dry-stone wall building, which every islander learns from an early age. Finished with a comfortable round neck, the design echoes the random shapes and sizes of the stone walls, using an unusual range of stitches including plated moss, plated moss rib, plated caterpillar, plated brick, and embossed leaf stitch. The result is a modern aran sweater inspired by an ancient craft.

Available in Silver Marl - a combination of light grey, white and a hint of natural, emphasises the beautiful stitch interest, texture and colour contrast in this intricate sweater.

Hassle-free Worldwide delivery with all taxes and duties included at checkout with no further payments required. All orders are shipped via DHL, except Canadian and US orders shipped with UPS. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has left our factory.
Although we will do everything we can to deliver as fast as possible and usually within a few days, please allow up to a maximum 10 day shipping period due to our remote offshore island location where weather conditions can impact shipping your special package from the Aran Islands.

Returns
Our Online Shop Returns Policy means that if you are not fully happy with the goods you have received, you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt, providing they are in original resalable condition. Once returned you will be entitled to receive a refund, which will not include the cost of the original shipping.

- Measure the front of the chest from underarm to underarm at the lowest point of the armhole seam.
- Measure the length from the highest point on the shoulder to the bottom of the rib.
- Measure the sleeve length from lowest point of the armhole to the bottom of the cuff.
