The Fíodóir Smock is a very special garment in the recently created Fíodóir or Weaver stitch emulating the mosaic patterns of the stone walls in a striking combination of knitting and weaving - both an integral part of the history of the Aran Islands. This intricate stitch uses a Donegal fleck base yarn, and up to 3 contrasting colours for the floating weave. The Fíodóir Smock is an oversize style, with colour contrast neck trim and sleek panel line running down the back. Combining an innovative shape and completely unique stitch it makes for a singular show-stopping and heirloom piece. Crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes.

Newly available in Black-Charcoal, in Navy-Blue, an ode to the sea, and in Navy-Orange - intricately rich colour combinations that showcase the knit and weave characteristics beautifully. Always only available in the smallest of micro-batches due to the intense nature of knitting these challenging pieces. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.

Hassle-free Worldwide delivery with all taxes and duties included at checkout with no further payments required. All orders are shipped via DHL, except US orders shipped with UPS. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has left our factory.

Although we will do everything we can to deliver as fast as possible and usually within a few days, please allow up to a maximum 10 day shipping period due to our remote offshore island location where weather conditions can impact shipping your special package from the Aran Islands.

Extended Christmas Returns to the 16th of January for goods purchased since the 24th of November (overrides standard policy return times below). If we can help you with your seasonal gifting in any other way please let us know!

Our Online Shop Returns Policy means that if you are not fully happy with the goods you have received, you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt, providing they are in original resalable condition. Once returned you will be entitled to receive a refund, which will not include the cost of the original shipping.
