Island Diary.

Tá an Geimhreadh taghta i ndáiríre inniu. Today Winter has really arrived.
As they say here, ”tá sé ina dheatach”, which translates, ”it (the wind) is blowing smoke”. 
And the waves are coming over the storm wall at the old pier, ”tá farraigí ag goil thar féar glas” or ”the seas are rolling over the green grass”.
