The world’s most remote fashion label

22nd March 2019

On a tiny island off the west coast of Ireland, Inis Meáin draws on landscape and tradition to create clothing beloved from New York to Tokyo.
Established in 1976, the Inis Meáin Knitting Company has achieved the remarkable feat of transforming a local cottage industry – and in this case, those words are literal – into a fashion label that’s stocked at specialist retailers as far afield as New York and Tokyo.

An lipéad faisin ón áit is iargúlta ar domhan! Bunaithe sa bhliain 1976, tá branda idirnisiúnta cruthaithe ag Cniotáil Inis Meáin. Branda a eascraíonn as ceird agus traidisiún dúchasach an oileáin agus atá faoi thionchar tírdhreach an oileáin. Tá ár mbranda le fáil sna siopaí éadaigh is fearr ó  Nua-Eabhrach go Tóiceo.
