The Fíodóir Smock is a very special garment in the recently created Fíodóir or Weaver stitch emulating the mosaic patterns of the stone walls in a striking combination of knitting and weaving - both an integral part of the history of the Aran Islands. Almost an exclusive colour to our online store, with only 50 pieces of this style in total across all colours created so far. This intricate stitch uses a base Donegal fleck base yarn, and up to 3 contrasting colours for the floating weave. The Fíodóir Smock is an oversize style, with colour contrast neck trim and sleek panel line running down the back. Combining an innovative shape and completely unique stitch it makes for a singular show-stopping and heirloom piece. Crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes.

Available in Navy-Orange an intricate rich colour combination that showcases the knit and weave characteristics beautifully. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
Apparel care

This garment is made using some of nature's most luxurious natural fibres, Cashmere and Extra Fine Merino Wool. This yarn has a characteristic crimp making it susceptible to pilling over time. To protect against pilling do not wear underneath other woolen layers or velcros and do not over-wash.

Hand wash in water no more than 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Lay on a flat surface to dry.
Shipping

All orders are shipped via DHL. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has left our factory. Although we will do everything we can to deliver as fast as possible, please allow up to a 10 day shipping period due to our remote location on an offshore island.

Returns

Our Online Shop Returns Policy means that if you are not fully happy with the goods you have received, you can return them to us within 14 days of receipt, providing they are in original resalable condition. Once returned you will be entitled to receive a refund, which will not include the cost of the original shipping.
